Club registration for the new season of All Stars Cricket (ASC) is now open! 2017 was a great yearfor All Stars, and ECB and Middlesex Cricket are looking to make it bigger and better this summer with your help. Here’s what’s new for 2018:

  • Allocated ASC Champion from Middlesex Cricket to support your club’s delivery
  • Enhancements to the ClubSpark system to make your life easier
  • Increased marketing support with new assets to use plus a marketing and communications guide to help promote your session locally

New Safe Hands dates for Welfare Officers

All affiliated clubs must have a Club Welfare Officer (CWO) who the County Welfare Officer (Sharon Eyers) can liaise with and advise on any concerns.
To be a qualified CWO, volunteers need all of the below (each valid for three years only):

  1. Cricket-specific DBS check
  2. SPC workshop Certificate
  3. Safe Hands Certificate

Retaining Compliance

If a CWO or Deputy CWO’s DBS check (1.) is due to expire within the next three months, please contact your club’s allocated 2018 Clubmark Support Officer as a matter of urgency, and DBS renewal (now online ONLY) will be initiated. To renew a Safeguarding and Protecting Children (SPC) certificate (2.), visit here to search for a forthcoming workshop in your area. Only those with a valid SPC certificate can then apply to attend the Safe Hands workshop (3.).

Managed Migration update

In advance of next season, it is imperative that all accredited clubs and leagues are aware of the updated information regarding Managed Migration in Club Cricket.

The ECB has been working with accredited ECB Premier Leagues since September 2016, assisting them with the monitoring and enforcement of the Immigration Rules set by the Home Office. Having reviewed levels of compliance as part of the ECB's 2017 season review, it is vital that clubs and leagues take note of the information and assistance available to them.

Please click here to read the full ECB correspondence on this matter – it also contains the link to the Home Office’s guidance, updated again last week. If there are any questions, please email managedmigration@ecb.co.uk.
